Things You Need to Know Before You Buy

How Much Does a JOOLA Ping Pong Table Cost?

JOOLA produces a range of ping pong tables to accommodate different budgets. The cheapest tables start from around $600. These have more of the basic features and provide good value for money.

The best JOOLA ping pong tables are over a thousand dollars. But you don’t need to spend anywhere near that much to get a quality table. The top models are often overpriced and have poor value for money. For instance, the most expensive model is the JOOLA Berkshire. This flashy designer table is only really for people who want to show some flair.

Most of the JOOLA tables we love are within the $500-$1,000 range.

Where Are JOOLA Ping Pong Tables Made?

JOOLA Competition tables are made in their factory in Siebeldingen, Germany. However, tables produced for regular consumers are also made in China, as well as in their factory in Germany.

What Are JOOLA Ping Pong Tables Made Of?

JOOLA sources quality wood from across Europe, Asia, and Africa for their indoor MDF tables. They do not use cheap particle boards whatsoever.

JOOLA uses an aluminum-plastic composite surface for the majority of outdoor models.

How Do I Store My JOOLA Ping Pong Table?

The answer to this question depends on the type of table you purchase and the space at your disposal.

For indoor ping pong tables, you don’t have the weather to worry about. Provided you keep and use the table somewhere that isn’t very humid, you can keep the table erected if you so like. But the majority of us don’t have the space to keep a table open.

Fold the table up and store it out of the way, somewhere it won’t get knocked over. Some tables store more compactly than others, so it might be worth looking at a table’s folded dimensions if your space is tight.

For outdoor table tennis tables, you have the weather to deal with. Of course, these tables are designed to combat extreme heat, cold, and rainfall, but it doesn’t hurt to protect them anyway. Ideally, you should fold them up when they are not in use and then add a table tennis table cover. This will protect them from the worst of the weather.

If you really want to splash the cash with a fixed outdoor table such as the JOOLA Externa, you can’t use a cover. However, these tables are the most rugged outdoor models JOOLA has, so a cover would probably be overkill anyway.

Previously known as the JOOLA Motion or Rally TL, the United Pro 15 is a great, affordable starting point for players just getting started at table tennis. With a 15mm-thick MDF surface, it is a little on the thin side; however, beginners will not benefit from much from thick playing surfaces anyway.

The table comes in two halves that nest together for easy storage, and your purchase includes a tournament-grade net. With this table, you can put one side up to play with yourself. This is a great feature for recreational players. The table also has leg-levelers and an anti-tilting device to keep you safe and ensure an even playing surface.

At 137lbs, the United Pro 15 is very light, featuring a 30mm white undercarriage. The new-and-improved, 3-inch wheels make the table adequately maneuverable. You can also start playing very quickly, as it comes pre-assembled. In under 20 minutes, you’ll be playing to your heart’s content!

We also love the extras on this table. The corners have built-in ball storage for easy access. And, an attachable score counter prevents any sneaky cheating. You won’t easily find these extra features on a table anywhere else.

2. JOOLA United Pro 18

Joola United Pro 18 Table Tennis Table

Pros:

  • Good build quality
  • Less than 20-minute assembly time
  • Nest storage
  • Playback feature
  • Includes net
  • Leg levelers
  • Ball storage
  • Abacus scorer

Cons:

  • 18mm-thick surface
  • Cheaper 18mm thick tables are available

Stepping up from the JOOLA United Pro 15, we have the JOOLA United Pro 18. The only differences between these two tables are their thickness and support. As its name suggests, the United Pro 18 has an 18mm-thick playing surface. This provides a much better bounce than the United Pro 15’s surface.

We recommend going for no less than 18mm if you plan to use the table frequently. Therefore, this ping pong table is for more serious players who actively want to improve rather than just play recreationally at family get-togethers.

The undercarriage is slightly bigger at 40 x 40mm to support the thicker playing surface. This makes the table notably heavier at 187 pounds.

With all its features, the United Pro 18 stands above your average 18mm-thick table. A great buy for up-and-coming players

3. JOOLA United Pro 25

Joola United Pro 25 Table Tennis Table

Pros:

  • 25mm-thick surface
  • Good build quality
  • Less than 20-minute assembly time
  • Nest storage
  • Playback feature
  • Includes net
  • Leg levelers
  • Ball storage
  • Abacus scorer
  • 4-inch wheels

Cons:

  • Heavy

The JOOLA United Pro 25 is the best in the United Pro line if you are an advanced table tennis player and have money to spend. The relatively small price increase from the JOOLA United Pro 18 is well worth the expense.

With a 25mm-thick surface, this table has tournament-grade bounce quality —  a joy to play on. Any serious player knows all too well that playing on thin tables is frustrating and restrictive.

The United Pro 25 has all of the same features as the rest in the United Pro series, but it has more support featuring a thick, 50mm, warp-resistant frame. The wheels are also an inch larger at 4 inches, which makes it easier to move around. The table needs these larger wheels, as it weighs 253 pounds. A sizable increase on the Untied Pro 18!

With its superior bounce, competitive pricing, and advertising extras, the United Pro 25 is the best JOOLA ping pong table, in our opinion.

4. JOOLA Tour 2500

Joola Tour 2500 Table Tennis Table

Pros:

  • 25mm-thick surface
  • Good build quality
  • Less than 20-minute assembly time
  • Nest storage
  • Playback feature
  • Includes net
  • Leg levelers
  • 4-inch wheels

Cons:

  • Heavy

Read our full review of the JOOLA Tour 2500.

The JOOLA Tour 2500 ping pong table is more than suitable for keen players. Like the United Pro 25, it has a 25mm-thick playing surface, which provides a consistently high bounce. In fact, there are very few differences between the two tables.

The only contrasting features are that the Tour 2500 is blue, not grey, and it doesn’t have ball storage or an attachable score counter.

Therefore, no clear qualities make the Tour 2500 a better buy over the United Pro 25, as they are currently for sale at the same price. The JOOLA Tour 2500 table tennis table is superb nonetheless, but you should only really buy it if you dislike the in-built ball storage of the United Pro 25, or prefer its color scheme. The Tour 2500 certainly looks more like other conventional tables with its blue top and grey frame.

Our Top Outdoor JOOLA Ping Pong Tables

1. JOOLA United Pro Outdoor

Joola United Pro Outdoor Table Tennis Table

Pros:

  • 6mm, aluminum-plastic composite surface
  • Good build quality
  • Less than 15-minute assembly time
  • Nest storage
  • Playback feature
  • Includes detachable waterproof net
  • Leg levelers

Cons:

  • Cheaper outdoor tables available

The United Pro Outdoor is the only JOOLA outdoor table tennis table in the new JOOLA United Pro series. Its build is quite similar to the United Pro 15, as they share a 30mm-thick frame. However, this table is suitable for outdoor use, unlike the United Pro 15. It features a 6mm, aluminum-plastic composite surface, which is typical for outdoor tables.

This bounce cannot rival that of indoor tables, but it is more than suitable for recreational use. What we like about this outdoor table, in particular, is the included detachable waterproof net. Many outdoor tables feature fixed metal nets that are just awful to play with, as the ball bounces off of them irregularly in all directions. The United Pro Outdoor net has a softer net, comparable to what you’re used to playing with indoors.

2. JOOLA Nova Pro Plus Outdoor

Joola Nova Pro Plus Outdoor Table Tennis Table

Pros:

  • 6mm, aluminum-plastic composite surface
  • Good build quality
  • 10-minute assembly time
  • Nest storage
  • Playback feature
  • Includes detachable waterproof net
  • Leg levelers
  • Large, 6-inch wheels

Cons:

  • Some reviewers claimed their tables arrived damaged

The Nova Pro Plus Outdoor is another affordable outdoor ping pong table by JOOLA. There are a few differences between it and the United Pro Outdoor. At 173 pounds, it is just seven pounds heavier. It does, however, have a thicker, 40mm, rust-resistant undercarriage, making it more robust.

The other key difference lies in the wheels. The wheels on the Nova Pro Plus Outdoor are 6 inches in size, which is twice that of the United Pro Outdoor. This offers a strong advantage, as it makes the table far more maneuverable across uneven terrain. If you will have to wheel your table across tricky surfaces to get to your playing area, then the Nova Pro Plus Outdoor is the better choice.

The only issue we found with this table is that some reviewers claimed their tables arrived damaged. However, the overall reviews for this JOOLA ping pong table are outstanding, with 4.5 stars across 1,800+ reviews. It’s safe to say damage in transit is rare.
